ATEC and Tourism Tasmania, invite ATEC Member Buyers and Tasmanian Sellers to TasBound 2016. 

This year, TasBound will be held on 29 – 30 April, 2016 and will give ATEC member Buyers and Tasmanian Sellers the opportunity to meet in a B2B workshop as well as networking opportunities at the Welcome Function (ATEC members only) and Gala Dinner.

The Old Woolstore is offering tourism operators an industry rate of $150 for a studio apartment including WIFI and parking. To book, contact The Old Woolstore direct and quote “Tasbound 30th April".

Tourism operators applying to attend TasBound 2016 and who are not ATEC members, must demonstrate that they comply with each of the selection criteria. 

NOTE – ATEC member organisations are exempt of the criteria as ATEC membership outlines that the below criteria have already been met.

  • With a limit of 40 spaces, registration opportunities are limited
  • Sellers who are interested in purchasing an additional delegate pass will need to email trade@tourism.tas.gov.au by COB 11 March 2016.
  • Successful registrations will be notified via email by Thursday 24 March 2016

Famils

ATEC Member Buyers have the opportunity to experience Tasmania first hand by participating in either a pre or post famil. 

1. Pre-Famil - Hobart and South: 27 – 29 April 2016
Discover Tasmania’s capital city of Hobart and learn more about the enriching experiences which are just on it’s door step.  This is a place where old meets new and there’s so much to discover including a visit to Bruny Island, where eco cruises will exhilarate you and culinary pleasures will delight you. Explore Tasmania’s last frontier as you fly over the Southwest National Park where you will see untouched wilderness in one of the world’s last remaining temperate rainforests.

2. Pre-Famil – Launceston and North: 27 – 29 April 2016 
Discover the essence of Tasmania’s second largest city - Launceston. Learn more about the incredible experiences located on Launceston’s door step, from one of Tasmania’s key wine regions – The Tamar Valley - to world class food. Along the way you will see a mix of beautiful countryside, gain a deeper understanding of Tasmania’s unique history and visit Australia’s number one public access golf course – Barnbougle Dunes.

3. Pre-Famil - North West: 27- 29 April 2016
Discover the authentic and peaceful surroundings of Tasmania’s North West as you travel through the charming coastal towns of Penguin and Stanley and experience the wilderness of the Tarkine. Along the way, you will sample the culinary delights of the Cradle Coast Tasting Trail. *This famil will include an option to travel to Tasmania overnight on the Spirit of Tasmania on Tuesday 26 April. 

4. Post-Famil - East Coast: 1 – 4 May 2016
Explore Tasmania’s spectacular eastern seaboard – and apart from the icon - Wineglass Bay – you will go behind the scenery and discover crystal clear waters with frolicking dolphins, Tasmania’s convict history at Port Arthur, boutique vineyards as well as succulent seafood.

5. Post Famil - West Coast: 1 – 4 May 2016
Ready yourself to discover the West Coast of Tasmania where you will visit Strahan and Cradle Mountain - home to pristine World Heritage national parks and great walks. Discover a number of diverse experiences on offer in the area, such as a cruise on the mirror like waters of the Gordon River.

The workshop and famils are all-inclusive, with accommodation offered on a single share basis and flights from your nearest capital city. 
As Qantas is our major sponsor for the workshop, Qantas flights will be prioritised for flight bookings
