The Approved Destination Status (ADS) program provides the Australian tourism industry with a significant opportunity to develop the Chinese group tourism market. A set of comprehensive guidelines is available to help explain how ADS works and how inbound tour operators can apply for ADS aaproval. China ADS applications and scheme management is handled by the Department of Industry, Tourism and Resources (DITR). Information on applications, the revised Code of Business Practice and various other ADS requirements can be found on the DITR website. Click on the below link for information.
ADS Guidelines for Australian Inbound Tour Operators
All ADS inbound tour operators are required to maintain a current membership of a tourism export trade association. ATEC has more than six years' experience in ADS and offers members support in completing ADS applications, as well as a direct link through to the China ADS Joint Monitoring Group, of which ATEC is an original and continuing member. Furthermore, ATEC's events program - including Symposium, Meeting Place and any ADS forums - count towards ADS participants' continuing status as approved inbound tour operators. Contact ATEC at info@atec.net.au for further information or assistance. |
