The ATEC Meeting Place, traditionally held in December in Sydney, is ATEC’s second key national event, attracting approximately 400 delegates over two days. This event includes member forums, ITO/Supplier workshop sessions, the ATEC National Annual General Meeting (AGM), Gala Dinner and the Len Taylor Cricket Day.
ITO Member Forum: The ITO member forum is a brief update to ITO members with presentations from key sponsors and focuses on the current issues within the industry.
ATEC National Member Forum: The ATEC National Member Forum provides members with the opportunity to discuss the latest issues impacting on the inbound industry.
Annual General Meeting (AGM) The AGM is the opportunity for members to hear from the Managing Director and Chairman and to elect board members for the coming year.
ITO/supplier workshop sessions Meeting Place provides a unique platform for ATEC supplier members to meet and network through business-to-business appointments with key inbound tour operators (ITOs) to build and strengthen business relationships. It is a cost-effective method of meting with over 120 ITO companies in one room at the one time.
The workshop sessions are run over a full day and broken into two sessions. ITO delegates must attend both sessions and supplier delegates may only attend either AM or PM (not both). Each session includes 24 appointments of eight minutes each with a two minute changeover time.
ATEC Gala Dinner and Excellence Awards The ATEC Gala Dinner is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the end of year with colleagues and friends. The dinner is also a night of recognition for those individuals awarded for their contribution to the industry during the year. Enjoy a three course meal and fantastic entertainment.
Len Taylor Cricket Day Traditionally held on the Friday following the gala dinner, cricket enthusiasts of the industry take part in the hoteliers v ITOs annual cricket game, held in memoriam to past ATEC Managing Director, Len Taylor.
