About ATEC

Our Mission - to optimise the business success of our members

Formed in 1972 as the Australian Incoming Tour Operators Association, we became the Inbound Tour Operators Association in 1977, and then the Australian Tourism Export Council in 2000.

Our small and dedicated team in national office and in our branches are committed to the tourism indsutry and work hard on our members' behalf across a wide range of areas. Get to know us, where we come from and what we bring to the team.

We have nine branches across the country - NSW, South Queensland, North Queensland, NT Central, NT Top End, South Australia, Victoria/Tasmania, ACT and Western Australia. Tapping into your local branch is the best way to network and learn the latest industry news.

We are the leading national industry association representing Australia's $18 billion inbound tourism sector. With a more than 30 year history, we strive for excellence in representing our more than 1100 members nation-wide.

While it makes us proud for our members to display the ATEC brand on their collateral such as business cards and websites, it's important that we protect the integrity of our brand. The following Corporate Style Guide details protocols for using the ATEC logo.

Our Excellence Award and Oustanding Contribution winners are not only a credit to themselves and their businesses, but to the industry as a whole. We thank our award winners for their contribution to Australia's tourism export industry.
