Preferencing Process

The preferencing process for ATEC Symposium 2010 will involve all supplier and ITO delegates accessing their application via the Tourism Australia Trade Events website and selecting their 40 preferences. It is recommended that all delegates select as close to 40 preferences as possible to give them the best chance of achieving the maximum number of prescheduled appointments.

The details of all supplier and ITO delegates attending each session will be available to download from the preferences page within your relevant online application. After all suppliers and ITOs have selected their preferred 40 organisations, the data is processed through a specially-designed appointment scheduling system.  This program matches supplier and ITO preferences based on mutual requests, the ranking of the preferences and the availability of an appointment time for both parties to produce the best possible appointment schedule for each organisation. However, as there are only a limited number of appointment times, it is not possible for the system to include an appointment for every organisation which is requested by you and every organisation which requests to meet you.

Online Requesting Process

The online requesting process for ATEC Symposium 2010 will involve all supplier and ITO delegates accessing their application on the Tourism Australia Trade Events website to fill in their 3 free appointments. The online requesting enables all supplier and ITO primary delegates with appointment schedules to view their initial appointment schedule as well as to request further appointments for their 3 free time slots. Primary delegates will also be able to cancel a maximum of 2 prescheduled appointments. The cancellations are capped at 2 appointments per session (AM and PM). This number does not change even if re-bookings are made for cancelled sessions.

Allowing primary delegates with an appointment schedule to request and cancel appointments to maximise the number enhances the quality of appointments. It is recommended that you access your appointment schedule on a regular basis during the online requesting period to ensure all meeting requests are acted upon.
