Other membership types

There are different levels of membership within these member types which depend on the number of staff employed by the company. Click below for more details.

Additional Location

Major ITOs, major online operators, major suppliers and major professional services members are eligible to add up to six inclusive additional location supplementary memberships that they can allocate to their offices or properties in other locations. Significant ITOs; significant online operators; significant suppliers; and significant professional services members are eligible to add up to three. Additional location members receive all the benefits of a full member with the exception of voting rights.

Extra Location

Extra Locations can be purchased over and above the additional locations for other offices or properties in other locations. Extra Location members receive all the benefits of a full member with the exception of voting rights.

Educational Institution

Any registered training authority in Australia who or which offers a tourism curriculum to students currently enrolled at the institution.

Individual

Any individual, who is a product representative or individual consultant and is actively involved in the tourism export industry in Australia and/or with overseas visitors to Australia, who is invited in writing by the Board in its sole and absolute discretion to become an Individual Member.

Honorary Life

Any individual who is declared by a resolution of the Board to be a person who has rendered outstanding or conspicuous services to the company or to the development of the tourism export industry in Australia (through marketing, research, education, management, development of tourist facilities or otherwise) for an extended period of time may be elected by the Board as an Honorary Life Member. An honorary life member shall be exempt from the payment of entrance fees and subscriptions and shall be entitled to the same rights and privileges as a supplier member.

Young ATEC

Any individual aged 35 years and under who is an employee of a member.

Allied Partner

The category of Allied Partner is an annual honorary membership category available to industry associations or companies with similar objectives to ATEC for the development and promotion of the Australian tourism industry. The membership may or may not involve a reciprocal relationship between ATEC and the association or company and may or may not involve a membership fee.
