Objective
“To position Australia as a leading health and wellbeing destination through the promotion of advanced medical services, natural attributes and well-being experiences”
Goals/Tasks
- Facilitate the education of the industry and develop the Australian inbound tourism industry on health and wellbeing tourism to ensure a cohesive, professional and successful approach
- Develop a Strategic Action Plan that will assist ATEC members and industry stakeholders with collaboration, marketing and business generation.
- Explore the potential of delivering an inaugural national Health & Wellbeing Travel Conference for Australian tourism industry and key international stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit a research proposal to the Cooperative Research Centre (CRC), outlining the need for in-depth research on the international health and wellbeing market that will provide market profiling, positioning and gauge the social and economic benefits to Australia.
- Deliver formal presentations to the ATEC National Board bi-annually to report on activities, issues and developments.
- Communicate developments to stakeholders and the broader community.
