ATEC's past and current Chairs

Since our first chairman was appointed in 1972 as head of the then-Incoming Tour Operators Association, we have been proud to have had some of the true icons of the tourism industry at our helm to guide and advise us.

Until 2003, our Chairs were elected from the Board. In 2003 we decided to appoint an independent Chair, with the aim of introducing someone from outside the Board who could bring fresh ideas and insights to the organisation. The independent Chair is appointed for a three-year term.
